About Pemberley Magazine

I founded Pemberley Magazine in 2017 because I was fascinated by people who dedicate themselves to doing things well.

At the time, I was living in Dubai, a city where craftsmanship, hospitality, design, and ambition exist on an extraordinary scale. Through the magazine, I found myself welcomed into worlds I never could have imagined—from historic luxury brands and family businesses to renowned hotels, artisans, chefs, watchmakers, tailors, and entrepreneurs.

What struck me most was that true luxury had very little to do with price tags.

Luxury was the craftsman who had spent forty years perfecting his trade. It was the hotelier obsessed with every detail of a guest's experience. It was the family preserving a tradition across generations. It was the pursuit of excellence for its own sake.

Pemberley became my excuse to ask questions, to travel, to learn, and to meet remarkable people. Some of my favorite memories are not the destinations themselves, but the conversations—sitting across from someone who cared deeply about their work and listening to the story behind what they had built.

Over the years, the magazine introduced me to beautiful brands, extraordinary locations, and people whose passion was contagious. It taught me that style is about more than clothing, travel is about more than destinations, and culture is about more than trends. At their best, all three tell us something about what it means to live well.

After a period away, Pemberley is returning with fresh content and a renewed sense of purpose.

The world has changed since 2017, and so have I. But my curiosity remains the same. I still believe there is value in slowing down, paying attention, and telling stories that deserve more than a fleeting glance.

Today, Pemberley Magazine continues to explore style, culture, travel, hospitality, craftsmanship, and the people shaping these worlds. We celebrate heritage, excellence, and the enduring appeal of a life lived with intention.

Whether you have been with us from the beginning or have only just discovered us, welcome.

I'm delighted you're here.
